Songkran festival! The Thai/Lao New Year! We saw a flyer at the Thai restaurant for a celebration at a wat (Thai Buddhist temple) about 30 minutes away, so we went! It was really fun and there were plenty of non-Thai folks there.
Making Holland's papaya salad
What you can't see are Holland's eye watering and nose running a couple of minutes after taking this bite.
There was also Thai boxing set to some very strange music and a beauty pageant for Miss Songkran. A good time was had by all.
