Spring what?

It literally snowed all day long. It's 10:30PM as I post this and it's still coming down.




I bought this space heater for $8 at Walmart during my second year of medical school. I've pretty much carried it from room to room with me all winter. Right now it's blowing on me as I study.




We went up to Park City to have dinner with Holland's parents, who are in town for his brother's birthday. The snow was dumping on them up there. Sadly I will not be skiing tomorrow. :(. The roads actually got a lot worse than we expected but we made it back okay...although Holland was probably relieved to get back down the mountain so I'd quit saying SLOWER! SLOWER!

Step 3

Holland and I are using two of out precious four-days-off-per-month to take Step 3, the last of three big tests that we take throughout our education in order to get our license. It's snowing out this morning and we stopped at my favorite coffee shop, Coffee Garden, on the way. It's going to be a long day!

Call Day

Ugh!



A redeeming factor of wards at the University is the 24-hour Starbucks.




The dreaded cross cover cards - the things I look at to answer questions about everyone else's patients overnight while I'm on call.



Still working at 2:30 AM with no end in sight. Feeling pretty bad because I realize I'm not going to get any sleep before morning rounds.
